Players costing $6,667 or under

DJ Augustin (at DET – $5,900): Needs 25.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.3 fantasy points against Miami. Augustin has been over 29 fantasy in five of his last six games. The only down game was a blowout against the Sixers. The minutes and opportunities are there for him and the Magic need this game against the Pistons. This should be a competitive affair, leading to plenty of minutes for the top guys. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Spencer Dinwiddie (at PHI – $5,800): Needs 25.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.4 fantasy points against Portland. Dinwiddie has been a bit hit and miss in recent contests but I’m not concerned about him with this matchup. He should have no issue carving up a very poor Sixers defense. I love this matchup for him and he’s averaging 37.1 fantasy points in three games against the Sixers this season. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (at MIL – $5,300): Needs 23.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.8 fantasy points against Minnesota. SAG always gets the minutes and opportunities to produce but the opportunities should increase in this one if Beverley is out of the lineup. He had 39.2 fantasy points against the Bucks on Nov. 10. These are two different teams since then but the Clippers are rolling. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
