High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Christian Wood (vs SAC – $5,500): Needs 23.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 60.3 fantasy points against Atlanta. Can Wood have another big performance like he had against the Hawks? Who knows. But I would imagine that he’ll get the chance and even though his salary has jumped, it’s not like the Pelicans have a whole lot going on and it’s a slow night at the position when it comes to value so you can save a little bit of money and hope he hits big again. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Serge Ibaka (at NY – $5,200): Needs 22.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.6 fantasy points against Chicago. Ibaka has been all over the place with the addition of Gasol and his minutes are down, which never helps. But Kawhi is out for this game and it’s the Knicks. He had 37.6 fantasy points against the Knicks on Feb. 9 and even in limited minutes, he should get his numbers in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Maxi Kleber (at MIA – $5,000): Needs 21.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.8 fantasy points against Sacramento. The Mavericks still need whatever they can get out of their frontcourt and Kleber is certainly getting those minutes right now. He’s at a good salary given his usual minutes and has proven to be a valuable player for them. They may even consider trading Kristaps Porzingis with the way Kleber has been playing. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
