3. Joe needs a win

WWE has put Samoa Joe into a lot of high-profile programs during his time on the main roster, but they haven’t given him very many big wins. After losing long-running feuds to guys like A.J. Styles, it’s important for WWE to build their monster back up in the eyes of their fans. The United States Championship reign is a start; a WrestleMania win would be even better.

In fairness, Joe does possess an amazing quality to shake off high-profile losses. His intimidating microphone work does a lot to put him over as a dangerous man even when his matches don’t show it. Combine that with his propensity to put opponents to sleep and it’s easy for WWE fans to fear him in spite of his win/loss record.

There’s a limit to how many losses any one wrestler can take though. The WWE is in real danger of ruining Samoa Joe’s potential by having him eat too many pins. Giving him a clean victory over Mysterio at WrestleMania would make up for quite a few of those losses and keep him a champion.

Giving Joe a WrestleMania win won’t suddenly reestablish himself as the top heel in the company again, but it will be a major step in the right direction.
