1. Houston Texans

After DeAndre Hopkins’ 115 receptions, 1,572 yards and 11 touchdowns last year, Houston’s next four most productive pass catches did not reach that catch total collectively, the next five didn’t combine for that yardage and only three others had multiple touchdown catches. Will Fuller has never consistently been a threat opposite Hopkins, and time is starting to run out for him.

Hopkins accounted for exactly one-third of the team’s catches last year, almost 38 percent of the team’s receiving yardage and over 42 percent of the Texans’ receiving touchdowns. The next highest totals in those categories belonged to Fuller (32 catches for 503 yards and four touchdowns, tied with tight end Jordan Thomas in the latter category). Suffice to say, even if Keke Coutee is in line to step up, a viable No. 2 wide receiver stands as a need.

Houston has plenty of cap space to absorb Green’s salary, with $38.7 million available right now. The question in any possible trade talks is draft pick capital, and it they have enough to get the Bengals’ attention. But a possible trio of Deshaun Watson, Hopkins and Green is tantalizing, and would be the envy of the league and automatically advance the Texans in the conversation as a Super Bowl contender.
