High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Jonas Valanciunas (at LAC – $7,900): Needs 37.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 74.5 fantasy points against Phoenix. You can always spend more and go wit Nikola Jokic on this night as his ceiling is very high. But the Wizards feels like a game where they won’t need him all that much and they can spread the wealth a bit more. As for Valanciunas. He’s played good more often than not for the Grizzlies and the Clippers lack of size is still an issue. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

DeMarcus Cousins (vs CHA – $7,400): Needs 35.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.25 fantasy points against Minnesota. Cousins has been under 31 fantasy points in two of his last three games and typically he’s been delivering even in limited minutes. The Hornets are a great matchup for him and even in limited minutes, he should still be able to get his numbers. Trust him to bounce back. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Marvin Bagley III (at SA – $6,700): Needs 31.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.5 fantasy points against Houston. MB3 looked more like himself against the Rockets after a couple of letdown games. But as I’ve been saying all day, I don’t know what you’re going to get out of the Kings on Sunday. The matchup is tough and the mindset might not be there. My hope is that they still want to finish strong. But they could easily pack it in given the circumstances. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
