Players costing over $6,250

Kemba Walker (at GS – $8,900): Needs 42.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36 fantasy points against LA Lakers. The Hornets are hanging on by a thread and a loss to the Lakers didn’t do them any favors. But Kemba still knows he has to show up in these games and I have to trust that he’ll show up in this game in a big way. It’s a high salary and he needs to deliver, but we know he can deliver better than just about anyone on the night. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

De’Aaron Fox (at SA – $8,200): Needs 39.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 49.75 fantasy points against Houston. The Kings are officially out of the playoff race and I don’t know what you’re going to get from them in this game. I would hope that they would still compete but they are on a back-to-back and against a tough Spurs team on the road. The ceiling is high for Fox but if they don’t find a reason to compete, this won’t be pretty. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Lou Williams (vs MEM – $7,600): Needs 36.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.75 fantasy points against Cleveland. The Clippers are a balanced team but Williams is their best option and everyone knows it. And with Gallinari out of the lineup, he will continue to pick up the bulk of the scoring and playmaking. He’s going to get numbers even in his limited minutes and we know he has a high ceiling. I like him enough, but don’t love him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
