Cincinnati Bengals

Key Additions: DE Kerry Wynn, OG John Miller

Key Departures: LB Vontaze Burfict, TE Tyler Kroft

Grade: D+

As expected, the Cincinnati Bengals had a quiet offseason, because this is Mike Brown’s team and no fun can be had. Heck, the most interesting aspects of the offseason haven’t even been the new coaching staff or new personnel, it’s been trade speculation around wide receivers A.J. Green and John Ross.

The Bengals allowed Tyler Kroft, now with the Buffalo Bills, to walk, but they re-signed the talented duo of Tyler Eifert and CJ Uzomah. If Eifert can have a healthy 2019, the Bengals passing attack will be on another level, given how Tyler Boyd excelled last season and Ross’s playmaking potential.

Cincinnati also re-signed Darqueze Dennard, but that was the extent of their significant moves this offseason, aside from adding a competent pass rusher in Kerry Wynn. But, of course, the Bengals didn’t suffer any notable losses, as few will shed tears over Vontaze Burfict.

The Browns offseason excellence contrasts strongly with the struggles of the other AFC North teams to make upgrades, and after a last-placed finish in the division, the Bengals should have been far more aggressive than they were this spring.
