Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma

Alright, full disclosure—I don’t expect that this will happen. Not at all, really. But I don’t think it is out of the question.

Brown, who has been recovering from a foot injury throughout the pre-draft process, has been forgotten to some extent because he wasn’t able to test at the combine or his pro day. However, many would argue that he is the most talented receiver in this draft class with Pro Bowl potential.

For Kansas City, they already could stand to upgrade their receiver depth greatly and Sammy Watkins may not be on the roster beyond 2019. Veach seems dead set on surrounding MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes with top-flight talent for as long as he is the general manager, so we shouldn’t be surprised if he decides to add to an already stacked set of offensive weapons.

If such a scenario were to play out, I do not think the trade up would be very high and therefore I do think the Chiefs would hold on to their two second round picks. There, they would then address defensive end and cornerback for their defense.

Whether any of these players become Chiefs or not remains to be seen. One thing, however, is for certain—Brett Veach and Andy Reid will be aggressive about upgrading this team in preparation for a potential 2019 Super Bowl run.
