9. Fenix and Pentagon Jr. vs Rob Van Dam and Sabu (Impact Wrestling United We Stand, Thursday, April 4)

Impact Wrestling has worked hard to develop momentum with top names like Fenix and Pentagon Jr. wrestling there consistently. The company’s presence at WrestleMania weekend will feature the United We Stand show on Thursday night with a medley of wrestling names from the past and present.

Fenix and Pentagon will team in the main event against ECW legends Rob Van Dam and Sabu. The days of Sabu and RVD keeping up with the Lucha Brothers are gone, but the match still presents the opportunity for a fun dynamic. Pentagon and Fenix are skilled and popular enough to make up for any steps lost by the legends. Nostalgia is always prominent during WrestleMania week and fans will get what may be their last chance to see Van Dam and Sabu have one moment in the wrestling world together on a somewhat big stage.

8. Kyle O’Reilly vs Austin Theory (Evolve Wrestling, Thursday, April 4)

One of the first big independent wrestling shows during WrestleMania week will take place mid-afternoon on Thursday. Evolve is utilizing their working relationship with NXT to bring in Kyle O’Reilly to challenge Austin Theory for the Evolve Championship. Despite bringing in relevant names from WWE’s world, Evolve has struggled to develop any buzz in recent months.

O’Reilly is the best choice possible from the NXT world to have a big match in Evolve. The popularity of Undisputed Era will add general excitement to the show, but O’Reilly’s talent allows him to adapt to his opponents to get the best out of them. Theory has struggled to get momentum as the Evolve Champion. A match with O’Reilly may be what the doctor ordered here.

Don’t be surprised if a huge title change goes down in this match. WWE used Evolve talent and titles as part of their Axxess showcase matches last year. O’Reilly could feasibly win the title for a huge moment and lose it at some point within the next few days. Either way, this is Evolve’s top match of the weekend by far.
