5. LA Park vs Pentagon Jr. (MLW Rise of the Renegades, Thursday, April 4)

Major League Wrestling will run two shows during WrestleMania week featuring a wide array of talent. Their Thursday evening event will have a must-see main event between luchador superstar Pentagon Jr. and luchador legend LA Park. Most fans will remember LA Park for his time in WCW as La Parka, but the recent years of work internationally has seen him find relevance yet again in the wrestling world.

Both Lucha Brothers will have a loaded week of events for many different promotions. Pentagon can be the star of the weekend given his hit list of opponents. The atmosphere for the match should be electric given the importance of both lucha stars facing off in a big match for MLW. Sadly, this is one of the few shows not on iPPV as it will air on MLW TV in the upcoming weeks.

4. David Arquette vs Timothy Thatcher (Joey Ryan’s WrestleCon Show, Friday, April 5)

The biggest bizarre match pairing during WrestleMania week will see actor-turned-wrestler David Arquette battle independent wrestling star Timothy Thatcher. Arquette has already been involved in a handful of noteworthy moments during his wrestling run on the independent circuit, and this will be his only advertised match to make a mark during WrestleMania weekend.

Thatcher has the reputation for being among the most credible and stoic wrestlers. The variety-show nature of Joey Ryan’s event with WrestleCon will give us an actor facing off with the most intense performer on the card. Comedy should naturally ensue and Arquette’s track record in recent months has shown he can step up to do enough for a fun spectacle in these settings.
