FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 2, 2019
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Clint Capela (at SAC – $9,000): Needs 39.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 48.5 fantasy points against Sacramento. Capela delivered big when these two teams met on Mar. 30 and I love him once again in this game. His salary has jumped, but it’s not quite high enough for what he’s able to deliver in this game. Minutes might be a concern as the Rockets have to start resting guys a bit at some point, right? But until I see it, I won’t believe it. And even in limited minutes, Capela can do damage in this matchup. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
JaVale McGee (at OKC – $8,300): Needs 36.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 51.7 fantasy points against New Orleans. JaVale McGee is the best player in the league again so there’s that. His salary has jumped in a big way and he’s probably due for a rough outing. But the Thunder can’t exactly be trusted right now. You can always spend more on Jokic or Cousins but I don’t like the matchup for Jokic and the minutes might not be there for Cousins. McGee will at least get the minutes and opportunities Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Steven Adams (vs LAL – $7,000): Needs 30.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 47 fantasy points against Dallas. Adams’ salary has jumped as he’s been playing better as of late but it’s tough to trust anyone on the Thunder right now. He looks to be back in form and the Lakers are obviously a great matchup. But Adams could just as easily bottom out and the Thunder forget he still exists on the team. The minutes and opportunities are there for him, which does count for a lot. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
