2019 NFL mock draft: Kyler Murray heads to Cardinals at No. 1
By Brad Weiss
The Cincinnati Bengals will have a new head coach for the first time in a long time, as they parted ways with long-time head coach Marvin Lewis after the 2018 NFL season. Lewis coached the Bengals for 16 seasons, and while he did not bring them a postseason victory, he did lead them to their fair share of regular season wins.
Heading into 2019, there has been speculation that the team is not happy with what they have at quarterback, and they could very well bring in a signal-caller at No. 11, or trade up for one. If they decide to stay at No. 11, they should look to add a linebacker, as that is one of their biggest weaknesses heading into the new season.
In recent weeks, the team has gotten rid of Vontaze Burfict, who has had his fair share of suspensions during his time as their feature linebacker. The best linebacker in this draft class is Devin White, a stud from LSU who plays sideline to sideline, and will be an impact player at the next level.
Cincinnati has already kicked off their workouts, as teams with new head coaches are allowed to start their offseason program early. It will be interesting to see how Zac Taylor does in his first season as an NFL head coach, but this team has talent, and it will be interesting to see how different it looks in year one under Taylor.
