Cody Ford. 23. player. 10. . Offensive Lineman. Oklahoma

The Houston Texans were one of the best teams in all of football for most of the 2018 season, reeling off nine straight victories, and winning the AFC South title. Unfortunately, their season came to an end early in the playoffs, losing at home in the Wild Card round to division rival Indianapolis.

As they head into 2019, they have a lot to be happy about, including quarterback Deshaun Watson. Houston moved up in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft to select Watson, a star quarterback out of Clemson, and he has since become the face of this Texans offense.

As he enters year three as the starter, he will be expected to take the next step forward, but that can only happen if he starts getting better protection. The goal of this Texans team has to be protecting their No. 1 asset, so it would make sense that they would use the No. 23 overall pick this April on an offensive lineman.

Cody Ford from Oklahoma is one of the more versatile offensive linemen in this draft class, and would be an instant starter along this Houston offensive line. This is a team that is going to challenge in the AFC South once again, and with studs on both sides of the ball, a deeper playoff run will be expected in 2019.
