2019 NFL mock draft: Kyler Murray heads to Cardinals at No. 1
By Brad Weiss
The Raiders third and final pick in the first round will come at pick No. 27, as that is their compensation for trading away star wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys. Cooper helped lead the Cowboys to the playoffs after joining the team at the trade deadline, and the hope is the draft haul can help the Raiders do the same.
This offseason, Oakland has added talent up and down their roster, and that includes at the running back position. They signed Isaiah Crowell to a one-year deal, and while he is a solid player, this team needs to add a long-term option at the position, and Josh Jacobs is just that.
Jacobs is an absolute beast of a running back, and is a guy who can not only tote the rock in the backfield, but also is solid coming out of the backfield and making plays in the passing game. Oakland has done everything it can to add weapons around quarterback Derek Carr this offseason, and Jacobs would be a solid addition to this group.
With three first round picks, and four picks in the first 35, general manager Mike Mayock has his work cut out for him. Luckily, he is a former draft analyst for the NFL Network, and knows how all of this works, so if the Raiders can hit a home run with these picks later this month, they could be a team to watch in 2019.
