The Los Angeles Chargers finished the 2018 NFL season with a 12-4 record, which was the best mark of any team in the AFC. However, they had to settle for a Wild Card spot, as division rival Kansas City also had 12 wins, and owned the tie-breaker, so they got the No. 1 overall seed in the conference.

Los Angeles then had to go on the road in the playoffs, heading to Charm City to  take on the Baltimore Ravens. The Chargers were able to take care of business against rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson, punching their ticket to  the Divisional Round, where they would be beaten by Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Still, heading into this season, the Chargers are once again a team to beat in the AFC, and they could finally get Philip Rivers to a Super Bowl. In order to do so, they need to be better along the defensive line, and adding an instant starter with pick No. 28 would be an absolute win for this franchise moving forward.

Kaleb McGary is an absolute beast as an offensive tackle, and on this Chargers roster, he could step right in and start at right tackle as a rookie in 2019. They have to do a better job protecting Rivers, who is aging, but has not lost anything, though the window on this team winning a Super Bowl with him is starting to inch shut.
