2019 NFL mock draft: Kyler Murray heads to Cardinals at No. 1
By Brad Weiss
The Buffalo Bills thought they snagged a big fish early in the new league year, as it was reported that they had agreed to a deal to bring in Antonio Brown at the wide receiver position. While that fell through, the team did not stop there, adding some quality players on both sides of the ball, and improving their roster already.
Remember, this team made it to the playoffs two seasons ago, and took a step backwards last season so that they could take two steps forward in 2019. Last year, they rolled with a rookie quarterback under center in Josh Allen, and while he took his lumps in his first season at the helm, this organization is going to be better off because of it moving forward.
Looking at this roster, they have to do something to replace Kyle Williams, who was an absolute leader on this team from his defensive tackle position. With their first round pick in April, they could look to add a player like Christian Wilkins from Clemson, who is one of the better defensive tackles in this draft class.
During his time with the Tigers, Wilkins helped the team to two national titles, and brings with him a championship mentality. The Bills need players like that, as there has not been a ton of winning in Buffalo over the past 20 years, and if they want to change the mentality in the organization, Wilkins is a good start.
