Landon Collins, S, Washington Redskins – 6 years, $84M, $45M guaranteed)

When it comes to Collins, this rating is purely about the money and years involved with the contract. On the field, Collins is a reliable, really good player who provides leadership on the back end of a defense.

But given the safety market options entering free agency and the fact that Collins has questions to answer as it pertains to his abilities in pass coverage, the money and length of the the deal is highly questionable.

Something in the three or four-year range would have been much more palatable, if not a lower per year salary. This move feels more like a reckless attempt to hurt a division rival than anything else.
