High Value PG

Players costing $6,250 or under

DJ Augustin (vs ATL – $5,600): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.5 fantasy points againstNew York. Augustin has been down in his last two games and the Knicks game, in particular, might be a little concerning because it was against the Knicks. But he’s got another great matchup on Friday as the offense should be there in a big way against the Hawks. The minutes are there, which certainly helps. Trust him to bounce back. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Tyus Jones (vs MIA – $5,400): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.75 fantasy points against Dallas. Speaking of a guy who will continue to get big minutes and has a great set of circumstances. Jones has delivered most of this season as a member of the starting lineup and his salary has actually dropped, which certainly helps. He had 34 fantasy points against the Heat on Dec. 30. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Dennis Schroder (vs DET – $5,200): Needs 24.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.5 fantasy points against LA Lakers. Schroder has been under 23 fantasy points in his last four games and is generally all over the place. But it feels like he’s due a big game and the Pistons are certainly a good matchup for him. He had 32.25 fantasy points against them on Dec. 3 and averaged 37.2 fantasy points against them last season. The minutes and opportunities will be there. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
