High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (at GS – $6,100): Needs 28.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42.5 fantasy points against LA Lakers. I continue to love SAG’s game and he continues to play very well. He had 40.25 fantasy points against the Warriors on Jan. 18. And while the Warriors will be locked in for the most part, their defense probably won’t be concerned enough. SAG gets numbers in all categories and should continue to deliver in t his game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Terrence Ross (at BOS – $5,700): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36 fantasy points against Atlanta. Ross can be hit-and-miss but he’s been hitting as of late and he had 37 fantasy points against the Celtics on Jan. 12. He’s a high ceiling guy, but if he’s not hitting shots, he can be almost invisible. I still like him in this matchup due to his ceiling, but if you want to save money, you can go with a Nuggets guard because someone has to get those numbers. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Evan Turner (vs DEN – $4,400): Needs 20.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 20.75 fantasy points against Denver. Turner has been strong over the last week and with the Nuggets resting guys, Turner seemed to take offense to that. Does that mean he’ll have extra motivation against the backups or does that mean the Blazers won’t be as up for this game? It could go either way. But Turner is at a great salary given his minutes and opportunities. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
