LOS ANGELES, CA – OCTOBER 09: Los Angeles Clippers Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (2) looks on during an NBA preseason game between the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Clippers on October 9, 2018 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA. /

High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (at GS – $6,600): Needs 29.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43.6 fantasy points against LA Lakers. SAG continues to play excellent for the Clippers and the minutes and opportunities won’t be an issue for him in this game. He had 42.1 fantasy points against the Warriors on Jan. 18. He does a bit of everything and if the Warriors don’t feel like playing defense, SAG will get his numbers once more. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Alex Caruso (vs UTA – $6,500): Needs 28.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 57.5 fantasy points against LA Clippers. Caruso keeps getting done for the Lakers because they just need something, anything, out of anyone right now. He’s playing with a lot of confidence and even though Utah is a tough matchup, the minutes are there in a big way and the Lakers need something from someone at this point. Caruso has been delivering. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Michael Carter-Williams (at BOS – $4,300): Needs 19 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.2 fantasy points against Atlanta. MCW is getting you value if nothing else right now. If you want a higher ceiling, you can go with Augustin. But he’s going to cost more. MCW is at a good price and gets the minutes to contribute. Both of these teams are pretty much locked in and we could see MCW get a few more minutes in this game. He’s a nice reliable salary saver. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
