The Cavaliers are relentless

There are many great things we can say about this particular basketball team. They have hung tight all season long with Championship favorite and fellow ACC members Duke. We’ve seen their relentless attitude when beating another Championship favorite in the North Carolina Tarheels 69-61 back on Feb. 11.

They have had to compete in one of the best conferences all season long. We saw their heartbreaking defeat in the ACC Tournament to the Florida State Seminoles, and their thrilling wins against Oregon, Purdue and Auburn. All games which were decided by five points or less. This team has proven time and time again they have what it takes to be National Champions.

Even in their defeats against Duke, we saw them keep fighting and playing hard. Iron sharpens iron and in this tournament they’ve proven they can beat anybody in the country when it’s all on the line. Which is exactly what you want from a National Champion.

Monday night we will witness a great college basketball game. The Virginia Cavaliers have what it takes to be here. They’re simply the more polished team. The team that’s been battle tested against the great historic programs such as Duke and North Carolina. They haven’t had an easy road and maybe with just a touch more of that March magic we’ll witness them becoming our National Champions for the very first time.
