Round 4 – Pick 103

Justin Hollins, EDGE, Oregon

Finally heading over to the defensive side of the ball at a position of need long term at pass rusher. Arizona’s defense will be led by Vance Joseph on the sideline but has a pair of disruptive players on the outside in Chandler Jones and newcomer Terrell Suggs. The latter of which signed a one year deal this offseason in what may be his last. Finding a young piece to learn from Suggs and become a player is a priority.

Oregon’s Justin Hollins is a name to keep an eye on. A long athletic prospect, he could use the year behind Suggs to put some meat on his bones and work on his hand usage/pass rush repertoire. As it stands Hollins is quick off the ball and able to use his length to ward off tackles on his way to the quarterback. More of a finesse player, his ceiling is sky high if he is able to add a power element to his game.

Joseph is going to prioritize athletic edge rushers for his versatile odd front defense. Hollins in round four provides tremendous value. He has rare traits with his arm length, long speed (4.5 40 yard dash at the combine) and explosive first step. The fact that he bench pressed 25 reps speaks to the fact that he is a hard worker and can improve with time. This is a high upside pick that can be a major contributor for Arizona in year two.
