4. Chris Lindstrom

The former Boston College star may look like a real mauler at first sight, but his tape shows him to be a much different player. What Lindstrom lacks in brute force, he more than makes up for with quick feet and technique.

There are only two things that might cause the Vikings to pass on him. Firstly, Zimmer might want to bring in a more physical player. Minnesota wants to protect Cousins, but they also want to punish their opponents with their ground game.

The second issue for the Vikings is that the organization may not see guard as a position worth spending a first round selection on. The Colts spent a high pick on Quenton Nelson last year, but Lindstrom isn’t in that class as a prospect. He might start as a rookie, but he’s not going to make the Pro Bowl in 2019.

In many ways Lindstrom represents the floor of what the Vikings should be looking for in the draft. He’s not a sexy prospect, but coming away with a starter with the No. 18 pick would be good value for the team.
