SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match (Fatal Four-Way)

The Usos (c) vs. The Bar vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev vs. Ricochet & Aleister Black

This fatal four-way match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship was one of the last bouts to get booked on the WrestleMania 35 card, essentially just to get more big names on the show, but it turned out to be one of the most entertaining of the evening.

Some of the other matches could have shaved off a few minutes to give this one a little more time but these eight Superstars got a lot done in the 10 or 11 minutes they had in the ring. There were quite a few entertaining spots in here with every team and every person getting the spotlight, but the best highlight definitely came from The Bar, which was unexpected given this match involved Ricochet. It was actually Ricochet who was on the receiving end of the longest Swing from Cesaro that we’ve yet seen. The Swiss Superman twirled the former NXT standout around and around as Sheamus got his 10 hits in on everyone else in the match, and the crowd roared in approval.

It looked as if Ricochet and Black were going to get the win, but once the dust had settled, it was The Usos retaining their titles after hitting a double splash on Sheamus for the pin.

What’s next: As it is with a lot of these “what’s next” scenarios, it’s hard to know right now who will still be on the blue brand moving forward, so it’s difficult to say who the next contenders for The Usos will be. It looked as if Ricochet and Aleister Black had their last match in NXT this past Friday night at Takeover: New York and matches against The Usos could be very good. The Nakamura/Rusev team still seems awkward and The Bar has had plenty of title matches with The Usos, so it might be time to refresh the SmackDown tag team division.
