Ezekial Ansah, Defensive End

No doubt that an injury-plagued 2018 is hurting his value, and forcing his free agency to linger longer than most expected. Despite the injuries, though, Ansah is still projected to be a top 25 defensive end this season.

Teams are likely waiting as long as possible to ensure Ansah’s health heading in to 2019. Inversely, teams may be waiting to see what they can procure in the draft, as this year provides ample opportunity to improve along the defensive line.

Teams that make the most sense: New York Jets, Buffalo, Green Bay.

Prior to the start of free agency, people seemed to think Ansah was in line to get a multi-year deal that would pay handsomely. Clearly health is a concern, and that coupled with a decreased market demand will drive down his price. He may opt for a one-year deal to bet on himself.

Prediction: New York Jets on a two-year, $20 million deal with $10 million guaranteed.
