Jay Ajayi, Running Back

Injury ended the Ajayi’s season earlier than he hoped and as a result, the running back played in only four games, with 45 carries in 2018.

If you had asked a month ago, the smart money would have been on a return to the Eagles. However, the trade for Jordan Howard likely closes the door on that reunion.

The 25-year-old undoubtedly believes he has gas left in the tank, and why wouldn’t he? Some team will give him a chance to start, and earn another contract.

Teams that make sense: Oakland, Kansas City, Atlanta

We should expect Ajayi to bet on himself here. A one-year deal with modest money makes the most sense, because he can re-sign at only 26 next offseason, hopefully with a bigger guaranteed.

Predication: Oakland on a one-year, $4.5 million deal. Fully guaranteed.
