3. New York Giants

No fans are more loyal than New York Giants fanbase. Everybody is still willing to quietly deal with Manning, an entire city blindly overlooking all his flaws.

But alas, Eli is done.

General Manager Dave Gettleman can squawk all he wants about how Manning still has it, but we have eyes. He is way past his prime, and the Giants need to get to work and pick his successor now. Just like the Bills erred when they passed on Patrick Mahomes and then selected Josh Allen a year later, the Giants are in danger of trying to hold onto the past and missing out on their future.

The prospect who best fits with the Giants is Dwayne Haskins. Luckily for them, it looked like they’d have to spend their No. 6 overall pick on him earlier in the offseason, but now it appears they might be able to get him with their 17th pick acquired in the Beckham trade, since Haskins is reportedly falling as of late.

Haskins has a big arm and a big body, which seems to be the Giants’ type. He could learn the offense in his rookie year and take over as the starter of the future next year, when Eli’s contract is up. Eli can walk away with his quarter of a billion dollars from his NFL contracts alone a happy man…

4. Oakland Raiders

Jon Gruden may be “very pleased and proud” of Derek Carr, but Carr just isn’t good enough. Having watched a lot of Raiders games over the past five years, we’ve all seen way too many passes hit the dirt, or fly errantly incomplete. He seems like a passionate leader and a good guy, but he’s taking the Raiders anywhere near another Super Bowl? Doubtful.

If you got Gruden to tell you the unfiltered truth, he’d agree. And that’s why the Raiders will draft a quarterback early with one of their eight draft picks. Since they have three in the first round alone, that would be a perfect place to grab a quarterback, even if they say it is just for competition and for the backup role (currently manned by Mike Glennon).

The prospect I think fits best with the Raiders is Will Grier. Not only could Grier be had with their final pick in the first round, but he might have the best overall career of all the quarterbacks coming out this year. He didn’t have a great Combine, but his tape is awesome, and he is smart and accurate.
