Kentucky. Josh Allen. 3. player. 30. . Edge

The New York Jets will pick at No. 3 overall for the second year in a row, and they certainly did well with the pick last year. With the No. 3 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, New York selected USC quarterback Sam Darnold, who looks every bit the part of a franchise quarterback entering year two.

This offseason, the Jets have been one of the more active teams, and have done an incredible bolstering the roster on both sides of the ball. They not only brought in a playmaker for their offense in Le’Veon Bell, who is the best overall running back in the game, but also added the best middle linebacker available in C.J. Mosley.

Still, even with these additions, the Jets have a ways to go with their roster, and they really need to add someone on the edge. While they could go after arguably the best player in the draft in Quinnen Williams from Alabama, Josh Allen makes too much sense for what they are lacking at the present moment.

Allen capped off his college career in style this past season, dominating a very good Penn State offensive line in the Wildcats bowl game victory over the Nitanny Lions. Incredibly adept at getting after the quarterback, Allen had 17 sacks in his final season on campus, and would be an instant playmaker for his revamped Jets defense moving forward.
