2019 NFL mock draft: Dwayne Haskins heads to Giants
By Brad Weiss
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a team that has a lot of work to do this season, as they finished in the cellar of a very tough NFC South division a year ago. There were all kinds of issues with this franchise, from their starting quarterback, to the head coach, and the hope is that new head coach Bruce Arians can turn this thing around.
Arians was brought in to be the team’s head coach after a year off, where he spent the 2018 season in the broadcast booth. During his time as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, he was a consistent winner, which is something this Tampa Bay franchise has not had in a long time.
As they look towards the 2019 NFL Draft, there is a player who should be available that would be a perfect fit for this team moving forward. That player is Devin White from LSU, who is the best linebacker this draft class has to offer, and would be a guy that could slide right into the starting lineup, replacing the departed Kwon Alexander.
The Bucs 2019 season is going to hinge on the right arm of Jameis Winston, who played much better down the stretch for the team in 2018. If he can keep his head on straight, and listen to what Arians has to say, the Buccaneers have the talent on both sides of the ball to surprise some people this Fall.
