High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,250

John Collins (vs IND – $7,700): Needs 36.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29 fantasy points against Orlando. The Hawks have nothing to play for but Collins should get the minutes as the Hawks keep building towards next season. The Pacers probably won’t be too bothered as they have nothing to play for in this one. He’s not always reliable but he does have a high ceiling, which certainly helps. Collins should be counted on to at least get minutes on a night with so much randomness. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Marvin Bagley III (at POR – $7,100): Needs 33.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.5 fantasy points against New Orleans. I’m going to assume that MB3 will get the minutes as the Kings are building towards next season. The Blazers defense isn’t exactly much of anything right now either, though they will give effort as they are playing for seeding. MB3 has proven that he can deliver huge games and this should be another big game out of him. He’s a guy who can hit big given his ceiling. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Thaddeus Young (at ATL – $6,300): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.5 fantasy points against Brooklyn. I’m not a fan of a lot of fowards on Wednesday because there is so much uncertainty but Young is at a good salary and he’s up against the Hawks. Even if he doesn’t play many minutes, he should still get decent enough numbers. He should be a reliable option if nothing else on this night but his ceiling isn’t all that high due to a likely lack of minutes. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
