High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

DeMar DeRozan (at DEN – $7,200): Needs 33.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME -36.25 fantasy points against Dallas. Ok, hear me out. I know that it’s playoff DeRozan. And you never know what you’re going to get out of playoff DeRozan. But he’s on the Spurs now. And typically things work out pretty well for the Spurs. His ceiling is high. But it’s also playoff DeRozan. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Jimmy Butler (vs BKN – $6,900): Needs 31.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 5.75 fantasy points against Miami. This is why the Sixers brought Jimmy Butler to Philadelphia. To get the tough buckets in the playoffs. And with Embiid out of the lineup, Butler will need to step up even more. The Nets don’t have a great defense and Butler should be able to shred them with his scoring. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Terrence Ross (at TOR – $5,300): Needs 24.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 50 fantasy points against Charlotte. Ross was hot to end the season and was over 35 fantasy points in his last four games. The Raptors are going to lock in now that it’s the playoffs but Ross has a high ceiling and contract year Terrence Ross seems to be an unstoppable player. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Derrick White (at DEN – $4,900): Needs 23.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29 fantasy points against Dallas. White was all over the place to end the season but I have to trust a Spurs player who is going to get big minutes in this game. And he’s at a great salary for the minutes that he will definitely get. He should get you value if nothing else in this game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
