FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 13, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Ben Simmons (vs BKN – $9,900): Needs 44.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.3 fantasy points against Miami. Don’t put much stock into the LAST GAME segment throughout these slides. Simmons played only 21 minutes in his last game. You can spend $100 less and go with Curry, who I know will deliver. But without Embiid and against this matchup, I have to trust that Simmons will deliver in a big way. The circumstances line up perfectly. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Jamal Murray (vs SA – $7,800): Needs 35 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.1 fantasy points against Minnesota. Murray was hot to end the season and even though. He can be a streaky player, he was good against the Spurs this season, going over 38 fantasy points in three of the four games. The one down game was the first game against the Spurs back on Dec. 26. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Derrick White (at DEN – $6,200): Needs 27.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28.7 fantasy points against Dallas. White was a bit up and down to end the season but I have to trust the Spurs point guard in this position. He’s going to get big mines and you can always count on the Spurs. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Fred VanVleet (vs ORL – $5,100): Needs 22.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.4 fantasy points against Minnesota. VanVleet can be a bit all over the place but he should get good minutes in this matchup as he’s a reliable option off the bench. He had 30.5 fantasy points against the Magic on Apr. 1 if you’re looking for some confidence. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
