Although they’re only six points adrift of third-placed Inter – whom they play in the next matchweek – Roma’s sights will be set on securing fourth position and Serie A’s final Champions League spot. Claudio Ranieri’s return to the dugout at the Stadio Olimpico hasn’t yet led to a notable upswing in the club’s results, with a record of two wins, two losses and a draw so far.

Meanwhile, Udinese lie in 15th place and only four points above the dropzone — albeit with a game in hand on all their relegation rivals — but they’ll probably be happy with a point here, as they have a number of much more winnable games ahead.
