High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,250

Blake Griffin (at MIL – $7,500): Needs 35.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 13.5 fantasy points against Memphis. Griffin is listed as questionable but given that it’s the playoffs, I’m going to assume that he’ll play. But check his status before making any decisions. He averaged 46.3 fantasy points in four games against the Bucks this season. He’s the best player on the Pistons and he’ll have to be great if the Pistons hope for an upset. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Al Horford (vs IND – $6,500): Needs 31.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37 fantasy points against Orlando. Horford is listed as probable so I’m going to assume that he’ll end up playing in this game. But he’s another guy to check the status of. Horford was playing well to end the season and I trust him to raise his game in the playoffs because he’s done it so many times. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value PF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Jerami Grant (at POR – $5,300): Needs 24.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.75 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Grant is going to get big minutes and opportunities for the Thunder. And with Nurkic out for the Blazers, that’s going to give him more chances to dominate in the paint. He wasn’t great against the Blazers this season but the circumstances have changed. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Al-Farouq Aminu (vs OKC – $4,700): Needs 21.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 8.25 fantasy points against LA Lakers. Aminu was all over the place to end the season but he was good against the Thunder this year, averaging 29.1 fantasy points in four games. He did better against them than Harkless, which is why I lean towards him. The role players on Portland will have to step up. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
