High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Damian Lillard (vs OKC – $9,700): Needs 43.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 45.8 fantasy points against LA Lakers. I’ll say this once again in the open so I don’t have to repeat; don’t pay attention to the LAST GAME section because guys played weird minutes in the final game. Lillard actually played normal minutes, so it doesn’t apply to him. But you get it. Moving on. Lillard carved up OKC this season to the tune of a 57.2 fantasy point average in four games. He’ll have to do it all in this game with the Blazers being shorthanded. And you have to trust him. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Kyrie Irving (vs IND – $8,800): Needs 39.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41 fantasy points against Orlando. Speaking of guys that you have to trust in the playoffs, it’s Kyrie. Who missed last years playoffs and who will be ready to go this year. I know Kyrie will bring it in the playoffs and the Celtics should finally start to show what we know they are capable of. Kyrie will definitely get his. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Darren Collison (at BOS – $6,000): Needs 26.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 15.2 fantasy points against Atlanta. Collison didn’t have a great end to the season but the Pacers were locked into their spot for weeks so I don’t hold that against him. The minutes are going to be there and I trust him to raise his game in the playoffs. He’ll be a value player if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

George Hill (vs DET – $4,200): Needs 18.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 12.1 fantasy points against Oklahoma. I have a good feeling about Hill because he’s another guy that I trust to raise his game going into the playoffs. He’s at a good salary for the minutes he should play and we know he’s a playoff performer, at least at home. He had 23.3 fantasy points against the Pistons on Jan. 29 and with Brogdon out, he should see good opportunities. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
