High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs DET – $12,500): Needs 52.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 56.3 fantasy points against Atlanta. I’m so here for playoff Giannis. Especially should be MVP Giannis. I fully expect him to take over this entire first-round series. He had 60.1 fantasy points the last time he played the Pistons on Jan. 29 and averaged 1.62 FPPM in four games. His minutes are going to be way up. If you’re building around a high salary guy, he’s my choice. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Paul George (at POR – $10,600): Needs 44.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 52.3 fantasy points against Houston. George can still be all over the place as his shooting comes and goes with the shoulder. But he still finds a way to get numbers. And he torched the Blazers this season, averaging 65.1 fantasy points in four games. Playoff P should be in the building. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Gordon Hayward (vs IND – $6,400): Needs 27 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30 fantasy points against Orlando. Hayward started to find his rhythm at the end of the season and that should be good news for the Celtics heading into the playoffs. The minutes are going to be there and they need him to step up in the playoffs. I’m a little skeptical but also trusting. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Bojan Bogdanovic (at BOS – $6,400): Needs 27 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.8 fantasy points against Brooklyn. But of these two, I like Bogdanovic more simply due to the numbers crunch. The Celtics don’t need Hayward to be good as much as the Pacers need Bogdanovic to be good. He was a reliable option for most of the season and showed a high ceiling. He was also good in the playoffs last season. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
