High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,667

Blake Griffin (at MIL – $8,700): Needs 37.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 14.9 fantasy points against Memphis. I’m assuming Griffin will play because it’s the playoffs but keep an eye on his status. He’ll be the best player on the floor for the Pistons, which is the good news. But if he’s banged up, who knows what you’re getting. Sabonis might be more reliable but Griffin’s ceiling is the highest at the position. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Jayson Tatum (vs IND – $6,900): Needs 30 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 1.2 fantasy points against Orlando. It’s playoff time which means it should be time for Tatum to step up. The return of Kyrie and Hayward, who weren’t on the floor last season, is going to complicate things. But we know what Tatum can do in the playoffs. He had 44.4 fantasy points against the Pacers on Apr. 5 if you’re looking for extra confidence in him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jerami Grant (at POR – $5,600): Needs 24.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35.5 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Grant was good for most of the season for the Thunder and he’s a guy I expect to step up for them in the playoffs. No Nurkic will certainly help him as the Blazers frontcourt isn’t quite as good. He wasn’t great against the Blazers this season, but he’s at a good salary and the minutes will be there. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Al-Farouq Aminu (vs OKC – $5,500): Needs 23.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 9 fantasy points against LA Lakers. Aminu was all over the place following the injuries to Nurkic and McCollum but he did play well against the Thunder this season. He averaged 27.6 fantasy points in four games against them. This seems to be his matchup more than it is Harkless. So I will trust I’m more. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
