High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Clint Capela (vs UTA – $9,000): Needs 40.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.5 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. This is the matchup where Capela made his money last season. And even though he wasn’t great against the Jazz in the regular season, I have to trust that he’ll return to form in the playoffs. The minutes are certainly there and he’ll get easy buckets when Gobert slides to challenge Harden. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Al Horford (vs IND – $7,800): Needs 35.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.3 fantasy points against Orlando. Horford is probable to play so I’m going to assume that he’ll play. He’s a guy who is going to raise his game in the playoffs and this is a matchup I like for him. Don’t worry about his regular season numbers against the Celtics. The minutes weren’t always there. The playoffs are a different animal and so is Horford. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Steven Adams (at POR – $6,500): Needs 29.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 9.4 fantasy points against Milwaukee. No Nurkic is going to be a blessing for Adams. Kanter is a very good offensive player but Adams almost always gets the better of him. And the Thunder will look to abuse Kanter with Adams. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Brook Lopez (vs DET – $5,800): Needs 26.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.9 fantasy points against Atlanta. Lopez was strong for most of the season for the Bucks and he’s by far their best frontcourt option. He was good against the Pistons this season, averaging 30.7 fantasy points in four games. And we know the ceiling is high given his minutes and opportunities. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
