High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,250

Kevin Durant (vs LAC – $8,000): Needs 36.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.5 fantasy points against LA Clippers. As always, you typically know what you’re getting out of Durant on the Warriors. The numbers will always be there for him and the ceiling is always high because he’s Kevin Durant and he can get hot at any time. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Ben Simmons (vs BKN – $7,300): Needs 34.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28.75 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Simmons is better than he showed in Game 1 and I have to expect that the Sixers will make some adjustments to get him going. But his lack of shooting is always going to hurt him in the playoffs. Still, expect him to be better and at least get value in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

JJ Redick (vs BKN – $5,200): Needs 24 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 5.25 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Redick has to be better, right? He can’t disappear. He’s too important for the Sixers and the Nets defense really isn’t that good. Expect him to be better. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

DeMarre Carroll (at PHI – $4,400): Needs 20.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.5 fantasy points against Carroll. Carroll was a guy who stepped up for the Nets and the hope is that he can step up once again. I have my doubts but I do like his game overall. He’s also at a good salary given the minutes and opportunities he should get in this game. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
