High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Ben Simmons (vs BKN – $9,900): Needs 44.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.9 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Simmons wasn’t good in Game 1 because his lack of shooting is always going to hurt him in the playoffs. But I have to trust him to bounce back in this game. He’s too good and the Sixers will make some adjustments. This salary still feels a tad too high, especially given the player below him. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Stephen Curry (vs LAC – $9,800): Needs 43.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 65.5 fantasy points against LA Clippers. But really, save the $100 and take Steph Curry. He’s 100% and he’s up against a Clippers team that has no answer for him. And he’s the most unguardable offensive player in the league. Curry will continue to deliver in the playoffs. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (at GS – $6,000): Needs 26.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.5 fantasy points against Golden State. SAG will keep getting strong minutes as they need his defense on Curry and Thompson. The minutes lead to opportunities, which leads to numbers. The Clippers are overmatched but SAG will get his numbers if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.

Spencer Dinwiddie (at PHI – $4,900): Needs 22 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.1 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Dinwiddie is at a better salary than SAG and also gets solid minutes and opportunities. And the Sixers defense remains a mess. The ceiling is high because Dinwiddie can get hot and he’s at a low enough salary to where he should deliver at least value. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
