FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 15, 2019
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Joel Embiid (vs BKN – $11,000): Needs 49.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 58 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Embiid is once again a game-time decision and that decision might not be made until five minutes before the game. So check his status before deciding on anything. The Nets have no answer for Embiid and the Sixers should adjust to use him more inside instead of out. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
DeMarcus Cousins (vs LAC – $9,000): Needs 40.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.8 fantasy points against LA Clippers. Cousins wasn’t as good as I thought he would be in Game 1 but that’s how it goes with the Warriors. It could be Cousins’ turn to dominate in Game 2 because the Warriors just draw a name out of a hat before the game and that’s who gets to have a career night. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value C
Players costing $6,667 or under
Boban Marjanovic (vs BKN – $5,500): Needs 24.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.6 fantasy points against Brooklyn. If Embiid is out, Boban should get the start and the minutes. As I said, the Nets frontcourt doesn’t have an answer for the Sixers frontcourt and Boban can dominate anyone when he gets the minutes. The salary might be a tad too high because the minutes are not guaranteed. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
Kevon Looney (vs LAC – $3,500): Needs 15.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21.5 fantasy points against LA Clippers. If it’s another blowout, Looney will see more minutes. He’s one guy who contributed last season and will continue to see minutes because he has the trust of the coaching staff. If you want to save on this position, Looney is the best option. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
