NFL mock draft if underclassmen were eligible: Trevor Lawrence goes No. 1, Tua in top 5
13. Miami Dolphins – Drew Lock, QB, Missouri
The Dolphins hit the reset button this offseason with the firing of Adam Gase and hire of Brian Flores and quarterback Ryan Tannehill isn’t expected back. With the Dolphins in need of a new quarterback, Drew Lock represents the best option as the draft board has presented itself.
Lock can step in and start right away, where some of the arms drafted ahead of him may need to sit for a season before they’re seasoned and ready to go. Lock had an up-and-down final season at Missouri and his 28 touchdowns was a big drop from last year’s 44, but he did have a career-high 62.9 completion percentage.
Lock also had a great week at the Senior Bowl where he impressed with his arm talent and mobility. He can be a leader of a franchise in need of a facelift and give the Dolphins their most talented young passer in years.
