4. Oakland Raiders – Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

The Raiders could be in the market for a quarterback this draft despite the belief that Derek Carr will be the team’s quarterback this season. But if Tua Tagovailoa was in this draft class, it would be a totally different conversation.

The Alabama lefty signal-caller was the Heisman front-runner for much of the season until Murray passed him at the finish line. Tagovailoa finished as the runner-up in a season that saw the sophomore throw for 3,966 yards and 43 touchdowns to only six interceptions. This came on the heels of his relief performance in the National Championship Game as a freshman when he came off the bench to throw three second-half touchdowns, including the game-winner in overtime to lead Alabama to the national title over Georgia.

The 6-1, 230-pound Tagovailoa will get comparisons to Russell Wilson, Steve Young and Drew Brees and has all the intangibles and leadership qualities you look for in a potential franchise quarterback. Tagovailoa would be an excellent leader for the Raiders and face of the franchise when they move to Las Vegas. Plus, Antonio Brown would love his ability to throw the deep ball.
