7. Jacksonville Jaguars – Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State

The Blake Bortles era has come to an end in Jacksonville. The Nick Foles era in Jacksonville is just getting underway, but that doesn’t eliminate their need for a young and long-term solution at the position.

Don’t forget, Foles has flopped everywhere else he’s been beside his Cinderella Story with the Eagles. Sure, that Cinderella Story saw him win a Super Bowl MVP after Carson Wentz was injured, and he saved them again last year when Wentz was injured again, but the Jaguars really should not stop trying to upgrade the position.

Haskins finished third in the Heisman after his first year starting at Ohio State. He threw for 50 touchdowns, the most for a power five quarterback since Sam Bradford a decade ago. He’s a big-bodied pocket-passer who may need a year or two before he’s ready to dominate. That’s why having Foles is imperative for this situation. Haskins can sit, learn and grow before taking eventually taking over. He’s got limited starting experience, so this would be a win for the Jaguars and for Haskins to help make sure he’s not thrown to the wolves.
