1. New York Giants

This scenario will generate all the headlines here, especially since the rumors are swirling that New York is Wilson’s dream destination. There has been a ton of buzz that Wilson’s wife, pop star Ciara, wants to live in New York to advance her career, and it makes sense for Wilson as well since one of the league’s marquee franchises has a gaping long term hole at quarterback.

The Giants’ situation isn’t as ideal as it could have been after the trade of Odell Beckham, but New York still has elite running back Saquon Barkley and one of Wilson’s favorite receivers from his early days in Seattle, Golden Tate. New York also has the kind of draft capital that could entice Seattle into a deal, holding two first round picks in this year’s draft as the foundation for a potential trade.

The Giants don’t have the cap space to hand Wilson a long term deal right now, but if Wilson wants to get to New York he would be more than happy to play out this year before inking an extension prior to the 2020 season. Wilson would also give the Giants a proven winner to succeed franchise icon Eli Manning, who New York has been hesitant to part with over the past several years.

There may not be a more appropriate marriage of team and quarterback than Wilson and the Giants, but it all comes down to whether or not Seattle is pessimistic enough in its ability to sign Wilson to pull the rip cord now. If the Seahawks decide to put their franchise quarterback on the block, expect the Giants to come calling extremely quickly.
