The top recruit in the state of Florida is about to light Saturday’s down south on fire. Demarkcus Bowman is an absolute muscle hamster at the running back position. At 5’11” and 186 pounds, he’s on the lighter end but don’t mistake that for a lack of strength.
He has good power and has all the tools that a top running could possess. Bowman sees the holes well and that allows him to find an opening to take off and get running down the field each time he touches the ball.
The speed is there to match for him and as he gets that burst up the middle, defenders at the second and third level are going to have a difficult time trying to bring him down. He’s a patient runner and isn’t going to force anything.
Bowman’s penchant is for running downfield and he’s not a back that is going to run back and forth side to side repeatedly trying to find something that isn’t there. The name of his game is getting the ball moving down the field.
The expectation is that Bowman will stay home and play for the Florida Gators. Dan Mullen had an impressive first season as coach of the Gators and keeping the top in-state recruit would be a huge get for the program.
