Out west in the desert, Darnell Washington is one of the best athletes in the 2020 class. The Desert Pines product from Las Vegas is a massive target and is going to be a huge haul for any program that is able to land him.

At 6’7.5″ and 248 pounds, Washington is going to be a red zone favorite and no one is going to be able to beat him at reaching the high point of a football. Washington’s frame certainly would seem like he’d be a tight end at the next level.

However, his freakish athleticism will allow him to line out wide like a receiver as well.  He ran a 4.78-40, which isn’t bad considering he’s a giant. He’s going to be the type of weapon that would work best with an offensive guru calling plays.

The program that would make a ton of sense here is UCLA. Chip Kelly is in the process of overhauling the Bruins and letting his vision come to light on the gridiron. Adding a monster weapon to the fold would be big for them.

He wouldn’t have to worry about blocking as much as in Kelly’s system, as he would likely be treated more like a wide out. The Bruins are slowly adding some future pieces to the roster and Washington could be their big 2020 prize.

Prediction: UCLA
