The second-best inside linebacker recruit of the 2020 class is Antoine Sampah. He fits the standard mold of an inside linebacker at 6’2.5″ and 220 pounds. He has good recognition and his instincts carry him toward the ball.

His five-star recruit status makes him sought after regardless, but having a cerebral leader that can call a defense and lead the rest of the group is an absolute essential for any defense to be able to function.

The inside linebacker is also a great and athlete and can blitz as well. His strength allows him to not get run over. He has proven that he can be downhill and get after wherever the ball is. If he can develop coverage skills to match his run stopping, then he will be a complete product.

Sampah should grow into the leader of a top defense in college football. Clemson is the pickover Alabama and Florida among many others vying for Sampah.

Since the Tigers are the top dog right now in college football and are the defending National Champions, it’s hard not to give them the nod on anything. Brent Venables has produced some great linebackers at the college level and would probably do wonders with Sampah.
