Myles Hinton is a big offensive tackle recruit that should make a bookend at whichever program he ends up selecting. Hinton has committed to play for coach David Shaw and Stanford, but until a letter of intent is signed, anything can happen.

The Atlanta product is 6’6″ and 308 pounds. He’s incredibly athletic for his size and can move around just fine. Some big tackles can struggle with getting a little flat-footed and having cement for feet, but Hinton’s light on his feet.

Stanford’s done a good job of developing offensive lineman out in the Pac-12 and Hinton’s arrival to Palo Alto would make plenty of sense. He’s more of a natural pass blocker than a run blocker, but he doesn’t struggle with the latter either.

He flashes good hands with a solid punch and he’s not going to get overpowered either. The strength he possesses will stop smaller defensive ends and linebackers from getting after the quarterback.

It can be dangerous to label a high school recruit as someone that will be playing on Sunday’s beyond college, but Hinton possesses the tools and the development should lead him there after his college tenure.
