High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Nikola Jokic (vs SA – $9,200): Needs 45 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 53.5 fantasy points against San Antonio. Jokic didn’t get a lot of shots in Game 1 but still made an impact because he can impact the game in so many ways. He’s going to be a tough matchup for the Spurs all series and the Nuggets need him to remain great if they want to win this series. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Enes Kanter (vs OKC – $7,000): Needs 34.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 52 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. I don’t quite know if Kanter can replicate his Game 1 performance but he was able to stay on the floor and when he’s able to stay on the floor, he’s going to get his numbers. He’s a slightly bigger risk in Game 2 because I’d be wary of falling into the Game 1 trap. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

Steven Adams (at POR – $6,100): Needs 29.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 34.25 fantasy points against Portland. Adams will continue to get minutes and the matchup with Kanter remains very good, even if Kanter posted strong numbers against him in Game 1. Adams remains a value play who will deliver value if nothing else due to his salary. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Marc Gasol (vs ORL – $5,400): Needs 26.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.5 fantasy points against Orlando. Gasol will keep getting decent enough minutes and the options below him are just nothing to write home about. It seems obvious that he’s not the player the Raptors were hoping for but he’s still a good enough player who can potentially explode. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
